Moody Mountain

The sun was shining through the clouds and I just had to stop and take a photo of my mountain. I pass it every day on my way to work. It was looking a little moody this morning.

It’s called a mountain but it isn’t really. It’s one of the Auckland’s many volcanoes - only 106metres high. It can be really windy but the view from the top is pretty special.

I love hills & mountains (comes from growing up in Mid Wales, I guess!). I'd love to see the view form the top of that one. Looks pretty :)

That's a bijou mountainette! Very appealing, especially with the water in the foreground.

Hopefully the every-thousand-year-or-so eruption doesn't happen when you are there. I think it is really beautiful looking and would love to go climbing on one of these volcanoes. How many times have you been to the top? Have you been up other volcanoes?

hello bluest
I've been up this one quite a few times. It's my local.
I've also been up another two of Aucklands volcanoes.

The most spectacular volcano I've climbed though was Mount Vesuvius near Naples.
