A fine line..
… between embarrassing and eccentric!
Where would you place this car? It belongs to my daughter’s boyfriend’s brother. We’re babysitting it and it’s parked outside our house.
What will the neighbours think?
Look at that! Those crazy people at number 39 have finally lost it?
OR
Wow! How smart! We want one of those!
Maybe I’ll just pretend that we have nothing to do with it … maybe some aliens left it there!

I think that the "How smart?" question has to be prefaced by the "How much?" question: if the car is free, then I'd consider driving around in it (so long as it wasn't a message I hated!)

The only thing cooler than a smart (lower case is actually correct, as I understand) is a smart cabriolet.
I LOVE these vehicles. I think they're brilliant - though their fuel economy isn't much better than a Toyota Yaris - which has a big back seat and hatch. But still, it shows that creativity and hope for the future still exist in the auto industry.
I'd give my eye teeth for a cabrio. And I'd wrap it in bright graphics for my business, just like this one. You only live once, after all.

and smarts are really smart here in Munich where you don't have much parking space
So you might be embarrassed but when the big Ford or Dodge has circled around 5 times and still haven't found parking and you did the first time you will be glad you own a smart
I live in Europe and these tiny ones make a lot of sense in a crowded city!!

Hi carmi, november rain and mar .. thanks for visiting and for the lovely comments. I'm not much of a car person but I do see the advantage of smart cars ... the guys who drive the monsters around the city REALLY annoy me.
novemeber rain - very good question .. the christos logo is some kind of deal where you get the car for a few dollars a month but HAVE to drive it 15km a day AND park it in the street ... don't ask!!!!
I would just pretend someone stoled it and left it there........
