Son’s eye view

I didn’t have my camera this week. It’s been borrowed by my daughter so, for inspiration, I had to look back into the dustbin of history ... I did and found this photo of a tree fern. I took it a few months ago on a coastal walk through the bush.
I only came to know these plants when I came to live in New Zealand. There’s something very primitive about them, don’t you think?

This is what my son saw ..... pretty!

Hi Omykiss - Michele sent me to see what's kickin' down under.....
What a stunning tree - our British trees are kind of sensible but beautiful - we don't really have 'OMIGOD' stunning trees like that.....

Oh, and wouldja look at those gorgeous kitties down a post....Some small compensation for insomnia at 3am...

Hey omykiss, an arm and a leg you say at least you can find a dentist willing to take your custom over here it's the total opposite the one I thought was my dentist "although" not been there in years - I say if I don't need anything done why go near, de-registered me and ain't taking anyone new on, it's the same all over! Just remember to get the camera back from your daughter as offspring have this tendency to forget they've borrowed stuff and think it's theirs now.
Yeah and the tree fren ain't too bad either, only thing that's close to it in this country that's native is "bracken" when it grows 6ft tall of course.

Tree ferns are wonderful - I was entranced by them too on the one trip I was in NZ long enough to do some bush walking.
