It's time to say goodbye

Yeah! The party's over! Why? Maybe my daughter's visit, maybe Fiji, maybe I've got busy at work .... maybe none of the above. I've had a really enlightening experience in blogland.

The thrill of the first ever comment on my blog, the really, really interesting blogs that I've come across ..... but I'm done. I can't do it any more. I've lost interest. I may read a few blogs once in a while but this blog is closed.

The party's over, it's time to call it a day. Bye ... it's been fun.

All good things ... etc

Yes! I'm back at work and this afternoon I've just been to drop my daughter off at the airport. She has a plan to return to New Zealand in January and maybe take a year out on a working holiday. Kids! Don't we just love them?

Our trip to Fiji was interesting and relaxing and warm. We visited a beautiful island resort where my daughter did a bit of scuba diving. Suva, the capital city, was the place where we went shopping and dined out on a floating restaurant, eating exotic fish dishes and listening to the sounds of the pacific in the form of beautiful live music played by a local artist, Jese Mucunabitu.

More Fiji fings later. I'm heading for the gym to try to sweat off the fact that I won't see my daughter again for quite a while ... oh well .. there are phones and emails, I suppose!

We's are going we's holidays ....

Fiji welcome

Fiji here we come! Yes, aren't we lucky people? This weekend we're off to Fiji for a week. Of Indian origin, df was born and brought up in Fiji. His family home is still there and that's where we are heading for a bit of sunshine after the rain we've been having in Auckland.
